Renewal after July 1, 2004, 15 practice-focused continuing education contact hours
Practice-focused continuing education contact hours means the content must be related to your work specialty.
Home study or on-line study is accepted, as long as it is practice-focused.
Appropriate continuing education contact hours earned for the two years previous to the renewal date will be accepted as meeting the continued competence requirements.
Contact your State Board for reinstating inactive licenses.
Arkansas is a part of the Interstate Compact License group that recognizes and permits nurses to practice in group states under their home state license. License renewal must be obtained under the home state license requirements.

For all advanced practice nurses, continuing education
submitted to the certifying body to meet the qualifications for
recertification shall be accepted as meeting the statutory requirement
for continuing education. |

You will be allowed 90 days to meet the requirement. After 90 days a late fee will be assessed plus a letter of reprimand which is reported to a national and federal disciplinary data bank. The second occurrence will result in further disciplinary action.
